After a nice week in N.C., we spent 13 hours straight in the car to get home around 10 pm. We had barely gotten everything unpacked the next day when it was time to leave for a wedding. This outing proved to have many firsts (most too personal to share). Charlie wore her 1st dress and was super cute. Congratulations to Reba and Nick on your marriage. It was a beautiful ceremony. Thank you for including us in your celebration.
We ventured out to one of Joan and Cat’s favorite picnic sites. We went from having to snow on day 1 to being able to sit outside without jackets. Charlie really seems to like being outside, even if it means tummy time. Charlie got to eat, then we got to eat some really yummy sandwiches from a local “shoppe”. Leaves and caterpillars kept falling on our blankets, but we didn’t care. It was nice to be outside in cool fresh air. We didn’t know it at the time, but the rash on Charlie’s face turned out to be a yeast infection.
Geof and his family have been going to The Soap Shed for more than 10 years now, well, at least whenever they are in N.C. It’s great fun to pick out many different “flavored” soaps.

This was our second attempt at capturing Charlie’s changes compared to the Ugly Doll. She wasn’t as willing to put up with direction from the photographer this time. Ah, the fickle moods of wippersnapper models. She’s 5 weeks old when these were shot.
My friend Glenda and her son Oliver came for a visit. Glenda is quite the photographer. Check out some of her work: Glenda Hayden Photography
